Vote for the
Elderhaven Tree at Lacks!
Vote for the Elderhaven
of Williamson County Christmas Tree at Lacks-North by
this Saturday! Every year, Lacks Furniture Store chooses
area non-profits to display trees at their stores. Then,
the general public can "vote" for the best tree with a
canned food item, which will later be taken to the
Capital Area Food Bank. The winner of the
competition will win a cash prize!
Help
AGE and CAFB this Christmas by voting for our tree by
Saturday December 13 by bringing a canned food item to
Lacks at 183 N and Anderson Mill Road!

Support AGE by searching
online! Did you know you can help donate
money to Austin Groups for the Elderly just by using the
website www.goodsearch.com ?
Just choose Austin Groups for the Elderly as your
Charity of Choice on the home page. Every time
you search they contribute 1 penny. Just think
if 100 people made just 2 searches a day AGE would
receive over $700 in donations.
Help support the programs of AGE by doing what
you do

Thank you
AlphaRide!
AGE's Caregiver
Resource Center would like to extend a sincere "Thank
You" to our latest community partner,
AlphaRide.
Alpha Ride is a local
transportation service that provides high-quality
services at affordable prices. This summer, Isaac
Hammond from AlphaRide contacted AGE in hopes of
volunteering his time and services to assist the aging
community.
But now, AlphaRide has
stepped up to deliver equipment in hardship cases when
no other way can be found. The CRC appreciates
AlphaRide's willingness to deliver anything from a few
packs of Depends to heavy motorized scooters. They even
dismantled a Hoyer lift (a large device that helps to
transport patients from beds to chairs) and brought it
to us without even mentioning the added effort and work
done to transport this valuable
donation.
Due to the generosity of
AlphaRide, dozens of seniors now have the equipment they
need to lead safe, mobile, and productive lives. We
thank you again, AlphaRide, and hope that you'll
continue to join us in making a
difference!
