Our Mission
Austin Groups for the Elderly is a non-profit organization empowering caregivers, the elderly and their families through education, advocacy, resources and support. We accomplish this mission through our four programs:
AGE H.EL.P. Awareness Month

Last year AGE gave away 2,812 pieces of durable Medical Equipment to seniors in need across 60 zip codes in Central Texas.
We need your help today to meet this growing need.

Help us raise 250 pieces of equipment and $4,000 to cover repairs for equipment.
Call 512.451.4611 or email help@ageofaustin.org.

The Health Equipment Lending  Program at AGE provides FREE pieces of mobility equipment to seniors and people with disabilities. In 2011, HELP:

  • Gave out 2,500 pieces of equipment for free
  • Served  118 unique Zip Codes in 30 counties
  • Helped seniors and their families in 60 Cities and 4 states!

Right now, we have over 170 seniors on our waiting list for items! We rely on the support of the community to donate GENTLY used equipment to give out at no charge to seniors. Our most needed items are shower chairs/benches and incontinence products.

Help us HELP Central Texas seniors by donating your equipment or joining us at one of our events.
