Elderhaven Adult Day Care provides a safe, secure and stimulating environment for adults who need assistance with daily living skills. Our licensed adult day care program helps families maintain loved ones in their homes, enhances the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of elders and their caregivers, provides family caregivers respite from caregiving 24 hours per day, and prevents and/or remedies neglect or abuse. We have the capacity to serve 59 seniors per day, and we are open 5 days per week.

Kipa Smith, Program Director
 
With over 20 years of management experience including 2 years as executive Director of an Adult Day Services Program, Kipa brings the needed experience and passion necessary to run the program. 15 years of her experience has been specifically with seniors, including recently owning a small business dedicated to helping seniors stay in their home environments. Kipa received her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Tulsa University and her Master’s of Science in Health, Physical Education and Leisure Sciences from Oklahoma State University. She was a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist for 10 years, working primarily with seniors in physical rehabilitation hospitals.
 
Barbara Rector, LVN
 
Barbara has more than 25 years of nursing experience. Her professional background includes behavioral, geriatric, and hospital nursing as well as working for a physician in an internal medicine and infectious disease practice. Barbara has worked for Austin Groups for the Elderly at Elderhaven Adult Day Care since 2001.
 
Jessica Stevenson, Activities Director
 
Jessica earned her Bachelor in social work at Northern Arizona University. She volunteered at Infinia Nursing Home in Flagstaff, Arizona; completed an internship at Northland Hospice; and joined Elderhaven as its activities director in 2007. Jessica is excited to be on board and have the opportunity to increase her education and experience working in the field of geriatrics.
